Tussie Mussie

Hello, Hello
Sunday night here, we've had a Market today, thankfully the weather was kind, not a drop of rain, chilly wind with a little sunshine, you can't ask for more than that in the middle of winter.

I think I've mentioned many, many times before, the Antique Centre where Tony was is closing...it'll be bulldozed to make way for a new Woolworths Hardware.
Finally he's completely moved his workshop to Moorooduc, not far from us.
He's all settled in now and we're planning on working "Full Steam A Head" on our products.
I will be listing new, larger prints tomorrow if any one's interested.
I loved, loved the bench in the photo above Tony sold today...
oh well it Sold, so is not coming home with me.
Mind you I have no where to put it, our kitchen is compact!

I love to wander around and look at all the stalls at our markets, today I came across one selling the most heavenly Tussie Mussies....they were only $5.00 each, which I thought was reasonable, they smelt Oh so good, each one a mixture of fresh roses and herbs...I choose this one which included .... Pink Roses, Lavender, Rosemary, Mint and a Silvery foliage that I don't know the name of...do you?
I plan to paint it, so as soon as I got home, decided on a pretty vintage blue jug...and took loads of photos

Thanks so much for coming over and for your interest and lovely comments

Mornington Racecourse Market

This is Mornington Racecourse where our market was held today. Lots of grassy areas at this market to sit and have lunch or a drink
The very best thing about this market for us is it's only 5 minutes from home

you can click on the smaller photos to enlarge them.
This market is so big I couldn't get a photo of all the market stalls, the photos above I've taken are looking away from the actual market stalls

We had a fantastic market today, the weather was beautiful, a little breezy though, the main thing lots of sunshine and no rain.

The photo above shows a Lacey wrought iron bench Tony recently made, similar to one he finished a few weeks ago which sold very quickly.

Tony's made this lovely little occasional table himself, including the scrolly cutouts, he's painted it a bluey green colour then distressed it, it made a wonderful contrast amongst all our pinks and whites.

Last Photo! This is what we see from our viewing point behind the scenes.

I meet some website and ebay buyers at our market today, it's always nice to put a name to a face, it was great to meet them, thanks so much!

I'm really going to try this week to put together some photos of our furniture and paintings displayed in shops we sell to etc.

Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend. Ellie's cooking dinner tonight for us, we were out last night.....so 2 nights in a row no cooking....yay!!

Getting ready for another Market!

We've got another big market this Sunday, I'm frantically trying to come up with new ideas for the market and our website, here's a few finished bits and pieces

On the left is a new idea I'd like to try, I've got loads of smaller sized frames that need painting up and distressing, thought they would look great with cards from our Gift Card Range originally designed by Ali Regan, have you seen her new website Miss Ali's, http://www.missalis.com/ it's really worth taking a look at. Thought these would be perfect gift ideas with Christmas coming up.

These oval frames are reproduction ones, my first reaction was to have them potrait way with single floating roses, funny how sometimes things are meant to be, I'd resized some prints during the week for an order, I'd made them too small, just so happened they fitted perfectly into these oval frames, I'm really pleased with the end result as I think they have loads of character, I've just listed them on our website, http://www.gailmccormack.com/catalog.php?category=4 if they don't sell they can come along to the market with us or maybe stay home with me!
