How hard could it be?

How hard could it be to have remembered my blog's first Birthday was on the 20th August? Woops I missed it, never mind Happy Belated First Birthday to my blog! I'll have to think up a little giveaway for a belated celebration

Todd (our son) is over holidaying in Thailand, he phoned asking me to email photos of Guss over to him, as there is a very talanted artist painting pet potraits for an unbelievably low price.

How hard could it be to take a decent photo of Guss?

Guss absolutely hates his photo being taken. I ended up emailing heaps over to Todd as I wasn't particularly happy with any out of the masses I took. Yes it was very hard taking photos of Mr. Guss

This is Guss upstairs in our loft bedroom, waiting, waiting patiently for Tony to come and pick him up. Todd & Mel come home tomorrow, if they went ahead and got the pet potrait done I'll show you a photo on my next blog. If not maybe I could paint a potrait of Guss, I'm not really up with painting pet potraits but How Hard could it be? (only joking, I think very hard)

I've been trying to set aside a little time each week to work on a few different themes and styles for my paintings. Of course I'll never ever give up painting my roses but gee I'm enjoying exploring!
After loving working on my "The Girls in Paris" painting, I wanted to create another to make a series, I had a vision of colourful gowns, elegance, sparkly lighting, I definetly didn't want detail, I wanted colours/tones as my focus, How hard could it be?
I love the way it's turned out, but it did test me to say the least, yes it was hard.

Thanks for coming over to visit

Maybe for my next post I'll have a little giveaway ready....??

bye for now
